Crows Bait!
No matter what we achieve in this life,
the greatest Glory or the greatest gain.
The Highest office or the greatest Shame,
we leave it all behind!
Whether heroes or villains
We all end up the same.
Spiritually High!
Some of use to try and still probably try!
To use chemicals to get a Spiritual High!
But after years or moments of abuse----
We found that.....they left us flat
On our backs-----or on our faces!
In some strange places!
Then----- we vowed
never do it again!
But heard the Sweet calling of our old friend
Then reluctantly answered again!
And rebegan......the descent down the hole
In our Soul!
Blindly seeking relief form the cold wind's bite!
In the belly of the beast---in the belly of the fright !
Smiling on the outside....but on the inside sad
And maybe deep down..... hurt or mad!
But too proud to show it.....own it or know it!
Just skipping in the Darkness we know as the Light
A walking Daydreamer with eyes closed tight!
Cause what frightens us most.....and most of us to Death
Is becoming aware......of how we've deceived ourselves!
A Spiritual High is anything but thing a thing
Ring, a ding ding ding......ding a ling ling!
When we've freed ourselves from the chemical hole
And beheld the true Light glittering in our soul!
Like a bird from its cage....our soul shall fly
Then we'll truly be.....Spiritually High!
