By definition, a tantra is a short Poem that illuminates a thought or concept. I have become fascinated with the form of the tantra, and would like to employ its Structure to an entirely different genre.
I have found it to be a challenging exercise to write a complete thought or concept on the subject of Success using the Structure of the tantra.
A tantra consists of five lines. Lines one, two, and four have only five syllables. Lines three and five have only seven syllables.
Give it a try. Any thought or idea you may have in the areas of Success, try to express them in the Structure of a tantra. They must be complete and make sense, not only to you, the writer, but to anyone else who may read them.
Here are some of my own attempts:
(1)Whatever you can
Visualize will
Always Materialize
Because of the Truth
That thoughts always become things.
(2)You must understand
The universe will
Respond to the sweet nature
Of your Song you are
Singing deep within your Heart.
(3)Whatever you are
Feeling is just the
Perfect reflection of what
Is in the process
Of even now becoming.
(4)Its all up to me
Im the only one
Who determines my Success;
Im the only one
Who can Carve my own Future.
(5)Motivation is
Found in the Heart and
Expressed through the actions of
The anxious soul who
Now hungry for Success, acts.
(6)Talk to some people.
Some will say yes and
Work with you in your business
While some will say yes
And be very good clients.
(7)Come join with me and
Learn your potential;
Discover you can succeed
In so many ways
You never thought possible.
(8)Liberation is
Really so easy.
It begins within the mind
As a yearning and
Manifests itself in works.
(9)Positive Outlook
Instills a new light;
I will surround myself with
Uplifting thoughts and
With motivated people!
This should help you to get a sense of the picture, here. Get a Feeling for the meter and placement of the words.
I have found that this kind of exercise causes me to struggle with my own thoughts, to condense them down into their most basic and meaningful form.
Words have power and they have meaning. No single word should ever be wasted or taken for granted.
