My Dog Jamie

The month was August
1986 was the year
A bitch gave birth to her Puppies
Each one to be Loved so dear

We adopted one of those Puppies
The smallest of the lot
Shetland SheepDog Sheltie for short
He was like a little dot

We christened him Jamie
That Cute little bundle of fluff
He was very ill, but he fought it off
For a little un he was tough

Animals are dumb
So the saying goes
But Jamie is intelligent
From his nose down to his toes

He really is a softy
He rolls over on the mat
But he lets the canine side down
For his best friend is a cat!

Hes one of the family and we Love him
But at times he is a pest
Heres a message in human talk
As Dogs go Jamie you are the best!
