Running its race
I Watch the Rain
Trickling down
My Windowpane.
Joining its friends
They form a line
Increasing the chances
Of bettering its time.
Pitter and patter
The hypnotic sound
As it travels the Window
On its' way to the ground.
Dripping and splashing
Collecting together
How interesting it can be
Watching the Weather.
Rushing in streams
They group to a huddle
Wanting to be next
To land in the Puddle.
That is where
Their race it does end
Accomplishing dreams
And meeting a friend.
My name is Joanne Hal e, known as Jo by friends and family (except for my Mum, who still calls me Joanne note the two syllables Jo and anne always got me two smacks whenever I was naughty as a child!).
I have been writing poetry for many years and regularly have it published in print. My poetry is published by Forward Press and in many other publications. So I'm now putting my poetry online. I publish my poetry on my Blog jo-hale-poetry at jo-hale-poetry.blogspot.com/ and on 8hop.com My poetry on 8hop.com. I also have information about my poetry at www.squidoo.com/jo-hale-poetry.
